ABOUT

Sophia Stampfl is a fourth year at the University of Georgia. She is an advertising major in the Grady College of Journalism as well as a John Huland Carmical Sports Media Institute student. Through her course work in Graphic Communications and Insight & Analytics she has been learning about the design process and communication research.

She has been developing her graphic design skills for five years through various internships and job opportunities and focuses on the Adobe Design Suite.

Sophia is an aspiring graphic designer and hopes to further her career in both social media and sports media. She currently works with the UGA Club Hockey team as graphics manager and creates game day graphics, player highlights, and other promotional graphics for the team.

Through the Sports Media Institute, Sophia has had opportunities to tour the ESPN College Gameday set, interview collegiate athletes, and broaden her knowledge in sports writing. She strives to create content for an athletic department or team, and will embrace any opportunity that will get her closer to that goal.
